Coach Pfeifer on Blaine: “From the beginning, Kirk understood the value we place on players who were not afraid to engage on every play. The things he did often did not show up in the stat book, like setting screens and chasing down loose balls. Kirk was about playing hard and doing whatever the team needs for him to do to help us find our level of success.”
2008-09: Played in all 27 games and started 26...averaged 20.1 minutes per game and scored 100 points...shots .571 from the field on 28 of 49...pulled down 82 rebounds, including 43 on the offensive end...played last season like a bull in a china shop and played with a "blue collar" attitude day in and day out...scored a season-high eight points against Northwest Nazarene and pulled down a season-high nine rebounds at Western Oregon.
2007-08: Played in 29 games and started 17, which is the most returning starts…fifth on the team in scoring at a 7.0 clip…third on the team in rebounding at 3.9 per game…tied for the team lead in offensive rebounds with 52…fifth on the team in field goals made with 64 and fifth in 3-pointers with 28…third on the team with 48 made free throws…averaged 25.1 minutes per game…third on the team with six blocks…scored a career-high 17 points at Alaska Anchorage (2/21/08)…had a career-high eight rebounds versus No. 9 Nebraska Omaha (12/22/08).
Campbell County High School: Earned four letters in basketball and one in football for the Camels...was an all-conference and all-state selection as a senior after averaging 13 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game...named to the Energy Classic All-Tournament team in 2006...assisted Campbell County High School to conference and regional championships last season as well as a fifth place finish at the state tournament. |
